Editor program, ELN, and bug-fixes

ResearchHub’s last sprint was focused on making moderation more robust via a new initiative called the Editor program. In order to give experts in each field of science more ownership of their respective Hubs, we are recruiting editors to help create and curate high-quality content.

In addition, we continued work on our electronic lab notebook and spent some time fixing bugs uncovered by our community. In the future, if you see any bugs on ResearchHub you would like us to address — please stop by our community Slack and post them in the #bug_reports channel!

Editor Program

We’re starting out our new Editor Program! In each hub, we’re taking applications for Editors. Our initial designs for the Editor Program is complete. Each editor will be recognized at the top of the hub that they’re an editor for, as shown below:

Editors will be recognized on the homepage of each Hub

Next week, we’ll be starting our software development on this. Expect the editor program to launch very soon!

ELN

We’ve continued to make progress on adding Jupyter notebooks into our ELN. Over the next week or two, we expect to be able to have an end-to-end flow with Jupyter integrated. Stay tuned for more updates here!

  • Updated ELN designs

RSC-related updates

  • Work done on a revised vesting contract should ship early next week.
  • Work done on bringing RSC back into the app (if a user gets RSC outside of our app, a way to deposit it back into ResearchHub), should also launch early next week.

Bug Fixes

  • Updated Author claim dashboard for Moderators
  • Fixed issue where the User Profile Page sometimes had the wrong descriptions
  • Fixed issue where sometimes the homepage is loading the wrong card when clicking “Load More”

Open Source Repos

Our open source repositories have been updated! They are up-to-date with our most recent app updates as of 12/1/2021. You can view both of them here:
